Pelletization
Trusted & Recommended Industrial Recycling
PSI has developed sophisticated processes to remove fines, paper & fibers from regrind materials before entering our extruders. If grinds have are not processed through our in-house Size Reduction operation, this stage helps conform the materials to our processing standards. This extra precaution protects customer material, and downstream equipment from the potential of small contaminates in expensive machinery. It also assures greater material compliance and productivity in our process and down-stream molding operations. Maintaining consistency in our equipment reduces overall complications in pellet size, purity, and performance. Melt filtration in the extrusion process adds redundancy to material purification and helps reduce pellet size variance and contamination. In working with recycled content materials, purification is always a primary concern, as it effects all stages of production. PSI is experienced and equipped with underwater, water-ring, and strand pelletization processes. We specialize in Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), Thermoplastic Olefins (TPO), Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE), Thermoplastic Rubbers (TPR), and Flexible Polyvinylchloride (f-PVC). All materials we process by extrusion include: Pelletization Processing Stages:
- Planning
