Automotive Product-to-Material Processor

Automotive Industry
The core of PSI’s success originated in the automotive industry. Through Supply Chain Recycling Fulfillment programs and Toll Processing, PSI managed almost more material from the auto industry than any other industry in our 22-year long history. In the year 2000, the founder of PSI received three patents for removing paint from painted plastics, to deliver original substrate material back to automotive customers 99.5% free of paint contaminates, in a purely mechanical process without the use of chemicals. This process was originally developed for post-industrial automotive bumper manufacturers to curve the high yield loss associated with molding and painting on plastic substrates, resulting in significant returns from monetizing previous scrap losses. In the first year we saved our clients a combined $850,000.00.
Similarly, PSI managed millions of pounds in post-industrial fuel tank products, processing these parts to material and developing downstream applications suitable for their unique chemical structure. This opened the path for material reuse within some applications back to fuel tanks and also in plastic lumber, benches, and decking.
With these new applications, PSI became the largest post-industrial management & preprocessor of auto fuel tank material in North America, managing Eleven independent factories simultaneously. With our facilities & remote operations from Puebla, Mexico to Toronto, Canada, PSI managed all program phases from product shipments to processing and material deliveries.
To this day, PSI manages several projects in the Automotive and logistics Industries to generate contaminate free material back into its original application, which remains an important industry for PSI. Our operations includ shredding, grinding, pelletizing, and compounding as a toll processor and Supply Chain recycling fulfillment company. PSI has worked as Tier I and Tier II suppliers for industry leaders such as Honda and GM.
Please consider PSI in your applications that may require experienced and qualified leadership as a valued and honest supplier.
